I knew I'd forgotten 'bout something!! *smirks*
Yes, I know I haven't updated this damn thing in almost over than two months, but it ain't like anybody even reads it.
I haven't been up to much at all. Well, kinda. I had a quite a few gigs within the past month or so over at a local bar. I'm please t' say that they've requested me back about 4 times already *smiles*
I haven't been out at night much at all...well, on the streets I mean. I know how this city is...I know it all too well. I'm almost tempted, though. Tempted to just take a stroll out at 9 o'clock on the sidewalks... I've been hearing that she's back. Darla is.. Wouldn't mind much at all to see her again..
Speaking of 'her'...I think I finally got to Lilah *chuckles* Next week I'm starting up at Wolfram & Hart once again. I'm not sure if it'll be easy to get used to right off the bat, after being gone for almost, what, 3 years is it now? *whistles* Damn... Time really must've slowed down while I was gone or something. But I am glad to be back. Don't know how I'll start off as, but it won't be long till I really get high up. Possibly even further than last time.

Yeah, I haven't really written in qutie a while. I'm not slackin' and all, I'm on my laptop very often, so I wouldn't even have an excuse. These past few days have been, well..interesting to say the least. Two nights ago she literally came into my apartment..heh. That was...
I had just come back from being out in the city for a drive, I think it was aroun', oh, 10 or so in the evening. When I reached towards the doorknob after unlocking it, something just felt off. Now I dunno if it was just my replaced hand tweakin' out another time, but there was something that wasn't right. I just shrugged it off, though, and went on in.
She nearly made me trip over my own two feet before she pulled me in, slamming me against the wall after closing the door. I admit, it was a bit of a shock to feel how strong she had really turned out.
"Who are you?" I remembered her demanding to me through clenched teeth.
"Who are you?" I was slightly amused, but my facial features remained emotionless. "This is my apartment."
"I know you brought me here."
I wasn't surprised at that, however. I had said after several moments, "My name is Lindsey, and if you stop twisting my arm, I can explain."
So, it went from there, and I told her. I had made the decision to come back to Los Angeles a little less than two months ago, but didn't come until a month later, if that makes any sense. I'd been thinking about past stuff that I had done in LA, and even things that I had been curious about when I was a boy growin' up poor without anything t' do. I happened to come upon 2 of the only books I ever remembered keeping for myself. Wolfram & Hart kind of, well..they really didn't like the way that the spells in them were working, so they shoved them in my direction. Needless to say...I really didn't want the Necronomicon. Well a copy of it, at least. Thank fuckin' God... The thing didn't have its affects on humans or mortals, like the original Book did. I knew very well that around 99 percent of all of the incantations in the Book always tended to go awry, but I still looked around, scanning through the motly bunch of spells and potions that it contained. I remember after several tedious hours I managed to find a tiny section of a page with a resurrection spell on it. I had thought about it for some time before I went and performed it. I had heard about Sativa way back when I was still with the Firm, but never really gave a second thought about it until those few months ago. Apparently, she died. I got an idea that..well, maybe she could 'help' LA, but....I'll get into that deeper..later on.
I'm going t' try and take her to see Lilah some time. I think she'd like the girl..

I think I saw her.. The other night and everything. I was out at around 8 'o'clock last night driving around the city and checkin' out a few different bars and such. Basically just seeing what has changed, if anything at all, since the 2 years I've been gone. Many of the pubs haven't changed at all. Still the same old drunkards there that I saw often whenever I went to them. I didn't really bother going into Caritas, however. Too much of a risk, if you catch where I'm comin' from.
On my way back to my apartment was when I saw her, or at least I think it was her. She was walking out from the alley near one of the bars that I had just come from. Our eyes met for the quickest of seconds, and she split. It was...strange, to say the least. I did it a while ago...about a month before I came back to LA, actually. I know that I'm pretty skilled in understandin' Latin, or speaking it at least.. I also know a bit about magicks.. Both due to my past at Wolfram & Hart...
When I got home I ran through what I had done in my head, as well as what, or who I think I saw. I couldn't seem to think of anything, though. I'm hopin' it was the person, though...This is, and may be a very possible chance for me to be a part of the firm once again.

Alright, so I realize that there's been a lot of people tellin' me how horrible and wicked Wolfram & Hart is. I also know that, yes, I did leave the firm, it had turned into something that it wasn't when I first came to work for them. I grew quickly in that buisness...went from working in the mailroom all the way up to bein' a Junior Partner within the span of two months. So I did some crazy shit; raising spirits, bringing a vampire back from the dead only to be human, and then to be sired again. I helped to hurt various people I didn't even know. That was..I left almost over 2 years ago. But now I want back in. I mean, c'mon, a man can change his mind, can't he? Heh..a lawyer is what I was meant to be. Yeah, I know, I know, I'm probably either pissin' ya'll off by now, or just making ya'll laugh at how stupid I am. But, that doesn't matter to me right now. I liked that life. And apparently from what I've been hearing, there's somethin' real big going on with the firm. It'd really be nice to get in on some of that action... I want to try and get a hold of Lilah soon. I'm sure she'll be..glad to see me...or not. But hey, I ain't here to steal her job. So, hopefully it'll go fine.
On the lighter note, I'm all moved into my new apartment, picked up the last few pieces of furniture late last night. It's not to shabby of a place. Got my television and DVD player, my laptop, spacious kitchen an' bedroom. Pretty decent if I should say so myself. Now that I think about it, the apartment complex is right across the way from The Hyperion... *half smiles* Think I'll go tomorrow and see what that vamp is up to these days.

Just a quick post before I run over to pick one last thing up for my place. I downloaded that AOL Instant Messenger, my screen name is LindseyxMcDonald. I'm on my laptop quite frequently, so if anyone needs me, I'm there.

Ah, good old Los Angeles. Part of me cannot even remember why I even left this town. But then I really start to think about it, and am reminded of all of the shit that went on, ever since Drusilla and Darla's whole 'massacre' happening. But hey, that was almost 2 years ago, right?
Goin' back to my roots, as I had done, was interesting. Oklahoma isn't like it used to be back when I was growing up. But this time around I had money, so I guess it really would be different. There's still a bunch of the old clubs I remembered from my childhood and everything, a couple bars, etc. I brought my guitar with me [of course], and actually found a few gigs around the place. Over the course of about half a year I managed to form a band. I really thought we were headed somewhere...Not neccessairly stardom, but, y'know, better known than in just one town. To make a long story short? We kinda fucked everything up. The guys started to fight over the finances, the bass player, Dave, was always complaining how he wanted to be the lead guitarist and all. So, I left.
What do I do now? Hell, I guess I could try LA again. I still have the city stuff in me, and I'm sure curious as to what Angel and his little friends are up to. And speakin' of that. I think I'll take a drive over to Wolfram & Hart sometime this week, maybe I could get my old job back. Yeah, it's a long shot, but always worth the try. I'd love to be working at that place again. Ok, so maybe I've gotten myself in a rut a few times..well, almost dying, too. It'll be tough, though. Probably. I bet they still don't have any official Senior Partners yet [not that they ever did....I mean, no one ever even saw the group...] I'd think that Lilah is still working there. I wonder how much further she's gotten ::smirks:: But hey, as I said to Nathan the day I left, she a good gal. Works hard. But, as for right now, I best be going. My apartment is ready for me to move in - I'm in a hotel currently - and I probably should get some rest.
